An initial consultation and patch test lasts 30 minutes. The length of treatment very much depends on the condition and in certain cases it is difficult to state a definitive time.
An indication of the time required will be given during the initial consultation. The consultation will include diagnosis of the skin condition(s) and recommended courses of action and treatment program. The Complementary Health Practitioner will complete a health questionnaire and discuss your medical history. In certain cases we may need to write to your General Practitioner before conducting a treatment or suggest a medical consultation if the condition requires medical treatment.

Quite often clients will have multiple blemishes around the face and body and whilst the majority can be removed and treated, its normally the more visible ones or those that are in awkward or irritable places that tend to be treated.
The tip of a fine, small probe (about the size of an eyelash) is introduced along the area to be treated and a tiny energy current is discharged. This dries up and destroys the condition which often disappears as it is being treated. Further treatments may be necessary however depending on the severity of the problem.
The treatment itself is a little uncomfortable but easily tolerated. There are minimal after effects, with a little tightness and scabbing to be expected.
FAQs
How long is the treatment and how many will I require?
ACP treatments are safe and effective and offer instantaneous results in many cases. Length of treatment very much depends on the skin condition, severity and number of blemishes that are being treated. Your Electrolysis specialist will advise you during your initial consultation.
The area must not be over-treated and your skin reactivity will be taken into account. Spacing technique and treatment intervals will be carefully considered in a treatment plan by your Electrolysis specialist as well as your requirements, needs and wishes.
How are Thread Veins treated?
The tip of the finest, smallest probe possible (about the size of an eyelash) is introduced along the line of the capillary and high frequency energy is discharged. This "dries up" and destroys the vessel which often disappears as it is being treated. Further treatments may be necessary depending on the severity of the condition.
How are Skin Tags treated?
There are a small number of different techniques depending on the location and size of the tag. Results are effective, instantaneous and permanent for the tags treated although more tags may appear in time.
Will my blemish return?
The treated blemish should not return but others may occur depending on the root cause. Your electrolysis specialist will be able to advise you during your consultation.
Mixing electrolysis methods
The method chosen is a decision the electrolysis specialist will make and will be determined by the blemish(es), condition of the skin, client compatibility and location on the body.
How much does it cost?
Usually you pay for the length of time you are treated with a minimum of 15 minutes. The amount of time require to treat a blemish or number of blemishes will be discussed during your initial consultation.
